GMHBA Ltd is pleased to announce that it has successfully integrated over 30,000 health.com.au customers across to its online health insurance brand, Frank.
The decision to integrate was as a result of a comprehensive business review with the aim to reduce complexity, improve operational efficiency and optimise the balance sheet of GMHBA Ltd. When health.com.au was acquired in July 2015, consolidation was identified as a likely pathway.
GMHBA Chief of Customer, Tony Hall said, “This is a fantastic outcome for GMHBA – we now have a two-brand business model thereby creating significant efficiencies in operations, product, customer and management support.”
“We have effectively streamlined our business model to achieve greater long-term value for our members. Health.com.au has been a wholly owned subsidiary of GMHBA for five years and the integration will make us a stronger, more resilient fund.”
Like health.com.au, Frank is an online fund with a mission to make health insurance easy. As a not for profit health fund, Frank has been delivering affordable health cover and great customer service for more than 10 years.
GMHBA has confirmed that there will be no impact on service levels and products and rates will not be impacted by the integration.
Official welcome packs will be sent to HEA members from today confirming details of their new Frank policy and providing instructions on how to log into the member area. GMHBA will also be posting out Frank membership cards shortly and will send an SMS to members to let them know when it’s been sent.
Mr Hall said, “The Frank team is really looking forward to onboarding health.com.au members and continuing to provide them with simple and affordable cover as Australia’s number one online not-for-profit health fund.”
