GMHBA is giving the Geelong community confidence to smile with the launch of GMHBA Dental Care.
GMHBA has launched its first dental practice in Geelong, joining a growing portfolio of GMHBA health services businesses in the region.
GMHBA’s General Manager of Health Services, Dr Sarah Leach, said the opening of GMHBA Dental Care Geelong was an important step for the organisation as it continues its endeavour to be a leader in the delivery of health care services for the people of Geelong.
“We are committed to improving the health and wellbeing of our members, patients, and the Geelong community,” Dr Leach said.
“Good oral health is key to general health and wellbeing, and this acquisition gives us the perfect opportunity to work with local, high-quality dentists to help improve the oral health of our members and patients, and maximise our preventative health care efforts.”
The dental practice, previously trading as Geelong Dental Care, has been in operation in Geelong since 2002 and dentists Dr David Pavia, Dr Adrian Carr and staff will continue to care for existing patients, while welcoming new patients to the practice.
“GMHBA is committed to working with local partners to achieve quality health outcomes for Geelong,” Dr Leach said.
“David and his team have established a highly respected practice and we are extremely proud to welcome the clinic to the GMHBA brand.”
GMHBA Dental Care Geelong has been refurbished in line with GMHBA branding, and customers can expect the same look and feel that they have become accustomed to across the health services businesses.
Dr Leach said that while the organisation expects there will be a range of benefits at GMHBA Dental Care Geelong for members to take advantage of in future, the practice is open to everyone.
“At GMHBA, we believe that the provision of health care should be available to everyone in the community, and we are committed to providing top quality dental services to all customers, whether they are a GMHBA member or not,” she said.
The opening of GMHBA Dental Care Geelong follows the successful opening of GMHBA Dental Care Portland in early 2016, as well as the recent successful launches of several co-located GMHBA Eye Care Practices and Private Health Insurance branches throughout the Greater Geelong region.
“Our health services businesses have been extremely well received by our customers, and we believe that our diversification strategy is working, allowing us to play an even bigger role in the health journey of our members and customers,” Dr Leach said.
Appointments can be made at GMHBA Dental Care Geelong Monday – Friday 8.30am – 5.30pm or Wednesdays between 8.30am – 7.30pm.
